Life As An Army Ranger

Life As An Army Ranger – As a former member of the famous military unit, I felt compelled to share this new video with you. It gives you a look inside the camp and shows part of a typical training day at Joint Base Lewis McChord in Washington state. Although the equipment, weapons, vehicles and radios have changed since my time with Attack Company 2nd Battalion, the expertise and strength of this battalion remains the same.

The three battalions that make up the 75th Ranger Regiment, (1st 2nd & 3rd) are the first battalions of the Air Force. Since the attacks on 9/11, the continuous rotation of these Battalions has continued for 18 years. In the 2nd Battalion a number of more than 20 are supporting the global war on terror at the time of writing.

Ep 31: Leitah Mkhabela

Erik Meisner served in Attack Company, 2nd Battalion 75th Ranger Regiment as a rifle team leader deployed to the Middle East, Central America and Asia. He is a licensed pilot, SCUBA diver and enjoys skiing, hiking, water kayaking, diving and golf. Growing up in a military family, Erik enjoyed skiing throughout North America and Europe. Living in the beautiful mountains of Michigan with her husband and 2 children, she continues to enjoy the outdoors as much as possible. Operations Tempo, or OpTempo, is so high that Rangers need to be rotated frequently in and out of combat theaters to give them time to recover.

One thing people need to remember is that no two battles are alike. You can spend all your work working back, turning outside the wire and going into the fire several times a night. Alternatively, you can go into a relatively quiet place and spend your days training in the field, doing PT, playing video games, and knocking out some college courses.

This is a terrible truth about starting a war, not only with the Rangers, but with any team, you will not hear on CNN. The strength of the installation depends on many factors. Expect to see a fight and always see it, but also expect the unexpected. Oh yeah, don’t forget that the only time you left your guard in that “good” zone was when an IED hit your convoy.

A guard is usually assigned to a team or company force, but can also work together as a battalion or regiment when the mission profile requires it. Since the beginning of the Global War on Terror (GWOT), the Regiment has quickly and effectively countered the threats found on the modern battlefield.

Th Ranger Regiment

Although the Rangers were trained to attack, attack and capture the air, today, they fight high-level battles where they continue to excel in the main. Continuing to emphasize the small team approach, the Ranger Regiment has moved into the operational areas handled by Tier One Special Operations units such as Delta Force and SEAL Team Six.

Since 9/11, every team in the military has had to start their game and the Rangers are no exception.

In the modern battlefield, Rangers are the first offensive troops. I was fortunate enough to be a member of the 3rd Ranger Battalion as an anti-tank gunner (Carl Gustaf), ranger and team leader in the Weapons Squad. Trust me, they’ve got it down to a science. Many times, my colleagues drag terrorists out of bed and tie them up before they wake up. That is why the Rangers believe in this fight.

The Rangers train regularly as they are in the military. In general, the practice is that spending two or three nights in the area is a better use of time than driving back and forth every day, so it is not unusual to work three days but is four immediately before ‘leaving it for three or four. day. four days a week. After a deployment, there will often be time to recover and regroup, save resources and address administrative issues before returning to the field.

A day will start with morning training at 0700 for the leaders before physical training. Sometimes, your team or your company may have a competition, which is usually a crazy combination of walking, running, swimming and surfing, followed by stress in the area. On a typical day, the PT leads the team and your team leader or team leader takes their turn for whatever PT task they have planned. A picnic is held every Thursday.

After PT, you can prepare for the field and enter the armed forces or continue with special training. Yes, there are some things that the coach should do, but the Rangers are not assigned to the details of the story like correcting the story or something stupid. Parachute trips are held as often as possible to keep all Rangers busy, usually once a month or so.

As a general manager, Rangers focus on The Big Five, which are the sub-systems of Strategy, Mobility, Marksmanship, PT, and Medical Training.

Other, more rigorous exercises are common, such as group and platoon inspections that test Ranger skills and combat training. These tests have also become the first form of training that includes live attacks. Rotary wing training is conducted by the 160th Special Operations Aviation and fixed wing training is also mandatory, as air capture is on the list of important missions for the 75th Ranger Regiment.

Additionally, Rangers are required to attend Ranger School before being assigned as a leader. Other schools and courses that Rangers attend are SOF armorers course, Mortar Leadership Course, SERE, Sniper School (currently 8 weeks), Jumpmaster, Pathfinder, Military Free Fall (formerly known as HALO), Ranger First Responder, and others.
